About Me:

Rigo Garcia is the Executive Director of the Hemophilia Foundation of Southern California (HFSC), where he leads initiatives to improve the quality of life for individuals and families affected by bleeding disorders. With over 20 years of experience in public health, Rigo has worked extensively in Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) with a focus on whole-person care, health equity, and chronic disease management. HFSC has been nationally recognized for their leadership and commitment to underserved communities. HFSC is a recipient of the prestigious 2025 Abbey Meyers Leadership Award from the National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD) and Rigo received the 2025 Sanofi TORCH Award for his and HFSC's health equity work within the bleeding disorders community. His passion is centered on increasing access to culturally and linguistically relevant care, particularly for Spanish-speaking families. Rigo holds both a Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention and a Master of Public Health from the University of Southern California (USC). Outside of his professional work, Rigo enjoys attending concerts at the Hollywood Bowl, outdoor adventures, wine tasting in Paso Robles, and spending quality time (and occasionally annoying) his husband, Matt.
